First Presbyterian Church Reopening Update!

Dear Friends,

We are excited about the progress in reopening more in-person worship and other activities at First Presbyterian Church!

This past year has been a long and difficult journey for the congregation, community, nation, and world. Over the past months, the Session, Diaconate, and staff have tried to follow the best possible procedures to support the ongoing life and mission of the church, provide pastoral care, offer educational opportunities, and continue our outreach to the community and world. Not a day goes by without serious thought about how to balance the deep desire to resume “normal” activities with the need to follow prudent health guidelines during the pandemic. I am grateful for the creative ideas of so many who are helping us find new ways forward along with the guidance of our Health Committee. As we approach Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter, we will have more opportunities to gather together, both in-person and virtually, to celebrate our faith.
