Next Week at FPC (October 22, 2021)

Dear Friends in Christ,

Each Sunday morning and every WAF Wednesday night, I am seeing more and more folks I haven’t seen in quite a while as you continue to make your way back to church! It makes my heart soar to see you again! We have been separated because of a virus, but we are still family and friends in Christ that enjoy being together for worship and fellowship, study, and service.

We will celebrate our unity as the family of Christ at the Kirkin’ of the Tartans on Sunday, October 31st. Come delight in our Presbyterian Scottish family roots as we wear plaid, parade our tartan banners and enjoy the rhythms of the drums and bagpipes. Everyone is a little bit Scottish on that day.

But this week there is plenty to do around the church house----check out all the opportunities below to grow in Christ together!

See you soon!

Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans – Sunday, October 31, 2021
On Sunday, October 31, at 8:45 and 11:00am, we will worship together in the Sanctuary when we hold our Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans service. Each fall, First Presbyterian holds this powerful historic service, a remembrance of Presbyterianism’s Scottish roots through special music and a procession of bagpipes and tartans. In our Kirkin’ service, we remember ancient times, as well as past and present kith and kin, while asking God’s help and blessings in the future. Lemonade and cookies will be served following both services. If you are a Tartan Sponsor, it is essential that you email Martha and Budge Bean to confirm your participation and service preference.
