Weekly Update for August 9, 2019

This week saw off our SPIHN families off on Sunday morning and also concluded our final CAST week for the summer. Thank you to all the people whose efforts and love made our church a place of welcome, safety, and growth for those families and children!

This Sunday, Tom will continue to unpack his sabbatical experiences and research in the traditional services and during Sunday School. We also get to enjoy fellowship and hotdogs with our church family after the 10:30am worship services this Sunday. So don’t miss out!

Finally, the deadline to sign up for our Church Retreat in Montreat is next Friday. This event is a wonderful balance of free time and helpful programming for all ages. The average highs in Montreat in September are 77, and by late September we might possibly be able to catch a few changing leaves in the higher elevations. See below for sign-up info.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

To begin this process, please download and complete the Background Check Authorization and return that along with a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card to Lynise Clarke in the church office. After that, training can be scheduled.

Child Poverty Initiative
