Missions

"The bond of sharing connects all humanity."

Hand in Hand was founded on the belief that the well-being of each community member affects the well-being of our community as a whole. There are hundreds of children in Spartanburg County who are homeless or living in chronic poverty. Hand in Hand works in collaboration with Spartanburg County School District social workers, who identify children and families in need. We collect donations of essential goods so social workers and volunteers can distribute them directly to these families. By providing basic essentials, Hand in Hand hopes to relieve daily concerns, improve self-esteem and allow children to concentrate on their education.

The list of suggested donations can be found below. Hand in Hand also accepts monetary donations by check, and through the church website, which will be used to purchase essential items as well as new shoes and clothing for specific children. Checks should be made payable to Hand in Hand.
