Audio, Video, and Lighting Roles
Audio
Operate a mixer for Sunday services, funerals, weddings, concerts, and other events. Our professional audio technician and volunteer team can help you to learn how to operate our intuitive mixer interface to mix audio for live participants as well as streaming participants.
Broadcast
Control cameras and switch between them to give remote participants an engaging experience of worship and special events. This is an especially engaging way to experience worship and other events as you view the event up close and from different angles.
Projections & On-Screen Titles
Control what is projected in worship and other events as well as the on-screen titles for our remote participants. Learn ProPresenter, a powerful and intuitive presentation software made specifically for worship. In Fogartie Hall, we are also set up for environmental projection across the entire front wall, adding a unique visual element to our MorningSong and Shelter worship services.
Lighting
Most of our worship services use very basic, predefined lighting throughout the service, which does not require an operator during the service. But we have very capable light consoles in both the Sanctuary and Fogartie Hall, and our Shelter Worship Service, seasonal services, and concerts will often make more creative and dynamic use of lighting.
Training
Most AV Team Training happens during services and events. New members of the team are paired with more experienced members to watch what they do, and try their hands at the controls with someone close at hand to help. At times individual or group training may happen outside of live events to work on foundational skills for new team members or deepen the skills of existing members.
Scheduling
Most AV Team members serve one Sunday each month. Members of the team are happy to cover or trade weeks when there are schedule conflicts.
There are also more occasional events like funerals, weddings, classes, concerts, etc. for which we typically reach out to the team to get vounteers.
