Winter Warmth

Local Missions Organization

Missions

There is work to be done in our own backyard, and you can help with an important mission of First Presbyterian Church without leaving town. For 27 years, the members of FPC have provided free coats to the children of Spartanburg County, wrapping them in God’s love.

Here's how you can help:

- Volunteer on November 10th and/or 11th

- Give a monetary donation to Winter Warmth

  • Time(s): Morning
  • Day(s): Saturday
  • Hours per Month: 4
  • Contact Person: Ian Ritchings

Volunteer on November 11

We would not be able to implement this mission without all of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteers help with every aspect of this mission from setting up and sorting coats, to shopping with families, to cleaning up and writing thank you letters.

Give to Winter Warmth

The generous donations of FPC members and friends are what make this mission possible. For a donation of $35, you can ensure that one child receives a brand-new, in style coat to wear during the cold winter months. Donations in honor of individuals make perfect Christmas gifts both on the individual and corporate level.

Please help us keep the children of Spartanburg warm this winter. With a gift of $35, you can provide a new, warm coat for a child in need. To donate, click on the button below. With each donation, a blank acknowledgement card is available to you. Please let us know on the giving form how many you need, and we will mail you the blank cards. Please note that acknowledgement cards will no longer be mailed from the church to the gifted recipient.
