Weekly Update for April 9, 2021
Dear Friends:
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! What a joy it was to join together in person and virtually on Easter Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Some gathered in the courtyard for our Sunrise Service in spite of the morning chill; others gathered in the parking lot for Morning Song and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper; others gathered on the front lawn for Traditional Worship with communion, choir, and brass; and still others joined us virtually. I am grateful to the many volunteers and staff who worked together, often behind the scenes, to make these services possible. This Sunday, April 11th, we will begin morning worship with the opportunity to gather in person in Fogartie Hall at 8:45 and in the Sanctuary at 11:00. Please remember to wear your mask at all times in the building. Overflow spaces will be provided once we reach the capacity for health protocols in Fogartie and in the Sanctuary. I am grateful for the opportunity to worship together! Blessings this Easter season.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Cards for Hospital Workers
As many of you know, healthcare workers are emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted during this pandemic. The volunteer manager at SRHS has requested notes and cards to remind them that they are loved and appreciated. There is a drop-off box for cards outside the Tower Room doors; bring cards at any time that is convenient for you. During WAF, we will have hands-on opportunities to make/write cards onsite (Watch for more information). There are over 11,000 employees, and a note of encouragement could really brighten their day! This is a great project for all ages, so get the entire family involved!
